June 1st deadline for GM?
So what happens if GM goes bankrupt on June 1st? What happens to our orders?

Probably nothing. The feds will back the warranties and they'll do some radical restrucuring.
The future of the Camaro might not look so good but they won't axe this car that quickly. You don't cut a money maker.

the amount of money they've put into tooling the oshawa plant... no way they can just shut it down.

i don't think there's a bankrupcy judge alive that would allow a company filing to stop producing a moneymaker!

I knw GM will not disappear but look at Chrysler there plants have stooped producing cars until they restructure...Do you think this could happen to GM and the Oshawa plant..Meaning we'd have to wait even longer for our cars!!

ordered 01/19/07 3000 - 2/27/09 3400 - 3/27/09 3800 - 4/17/09 (built and lost in the vortex) ship date ??????? (I gave up and got a GT500) 5/11/09 - order cancelled 5/27/09 - vehicle arrived at dealership for whoever bought it after me |

What happens to our orders? Ask the guys who ordered Challengers in Feb when they had Employee Pricing Plus offer (you could get an R/T with 6 speed for a cool $27k). The orders will not be filled becasue as of Monday the factory will shut down and suppliers will not send parts. See challengertalk.com

Stevo is right.
There is a very good chance that all production will stop until the bankruptcy is completed.......Just look at Chrysler as a test case..... No reason GM will be different IMO. The good news is that GM is looked at in more favor than Chrysler by the Govt.
