Fourth gear flat out acceleration - can't shift to 5th
OK... Maybe this is normal, maybe not...
Been on the autobahn a few times, and had it several times. During flat out acceleration in fourth, the clutch pedal literally goes down, and I can't shift from 4 to 5 (trying to do so, it feels like it is going straight into 3rd). Anyone else experienced this? Is this "behavior" normal? |

That does not sound right. Trying to accelerate after reaching 160km/h does not work well at all in 5th gear for me. 5th gear is more like overdrive just maintaining the speed. However, I can flat out accelerate all the way to around 215km/h in 4th gear. This is where I upshift to 5th. 5th goes in smoothly and my clutch pedal does not go down on its own.

I'll ask my dealer to have a look at this when the crank flywheel gets replaced...

Same issue here, although it doesn't occur frequently... Getting into 5th at 140+mph on the Autobahn seems to be a matter of luck, no matter what shifting technique used.... Even a ZR1 clutch doesn't seem to like that, the pedal goes light during such kind of runs
It feels like the transmission is blocked at times - synchros maybe?
