Old school sound

Can anyone recommend a exhaust system that produces a more old school sound like the old 1st gen Camaros. Looking for a more deeper/rumbling exhaust sound/system. I have a 69 Camaro running x-pipes that sounds really good just trying to schieve the same sound with my 2010 LS3.

Thank you....

A tighter lobe seperation on the cam can realy help achieve the choppy sound your probably going for but on the 4th gens GMMG made a dual chambered glasspack catback that sounded amaizing. If they are not making a kit yet or you want to save a buck just order a pair of the chambered glasspacks from summit racing or jegs and have them installed at a good muffler shop.

The closest way you will have a 5thgen sound more like a 1st gen would be to install some cherry bombs and get the deep tone.
Understand the generation of Engines we have now have more of a RASP sound to them that we all like compared to what you would hear in 1969.

if you are looking for DEEP then go with Borla imo thats the closest thing to DEEP you are going to get from a 5thgen Trust me My 69 has a Bigblock im in the same boat you are in. ITs still not the same but its close enough IMO.

not knocking the post but the sound is kind of stock and kind of mild.

haha thanks. that is the best way to describe it. I pulled into pep boys to get some detailing junk and some guy stopped me and was like I have not heard a camaro sound like that since the 60's.

LOL, you wouldn't say that if you heard a GMMG car in person. Obviously if you need more volume though, nothing helps like long tubes.
