if you pull fuses then unhook the power from the battery let set for 5 mins then hook back up. but sometimes it takes a few miles for a computer to recalibrate.

Yippy skippy now we can find something else to bitch about (JK)
I can't believe it was that easy to fix, lets hope it doesn't falter again. At least now you don't have to back down from any challenges.

Glad to see a fix for those that had a power problem Just a note, I had mine in for an airbag service light, unhooked the battery and the tech run a jumper from positive cable to negative cable to insure that all was reset, cuts out the waiting. No problem with power vin # 31492

My oil life indcator did NOT reset. At first I thought it was a sure sign that nothing changed but the engine starting had me pretty exited. Just roared like it had not before, and no popping of small backfire. Quote:

LOL, he was talking about my angry face one that I put up earlier. But I figure maybe I'll get an ego boost from at least one of our females. Quote:
This made me laugh my ass off. I almost spit coffee. I will say this. I started to get the feeling that a lot of people were doubting me on here. It really sucked. I don't believe there is any denying at this point that there has been a problem. If there is anyone who still doubts, I'd like to know why. Junkie and Spike, I know I left myself open for a good joke here. Yup. Got it all cleaned up and ready for hunting. lol Thanks guys for the congrats. This iPhone sucks to post on. |

pulling the fuses was a good idea, not only do you NOT have to disconnect the battery, but you saved all the other settings on the car. In most cars, all you have to do is hit the brakes while the fuses are out or the battery is disconnected to make it "reset". no waiting required.
