if you pull fuses then unhook the power from the battery let set for 5 mins then hook back up. but sometimes it takes a few miles for a computer to recalibrate.

I can't believe it was that easy to fix, lets hope it doesn't falter again.
At least now you don't have to back down from any challenges.

Glad to see a fix for those that had a power problem

Just a note, I had mine in for an airbag service light, unhooked the battery and the tech run a jumper from positive cable to negative cable to insure that all was reset, cuts out the waiting.

No problem with power vin # 31492

My Internet went out at the house. Power from the driveway must be interfering. Lol I'm on my phone. I'll make an update. But what I did was very simple. Car off, pull the fuses, wait for a couple of hours, replace fuses, kick some ass.

Just to confirm... is this the same thing the dealer would do if you told them to do an ECM reset? Or do they do anything additional? If this is it, I'll just do it myself when I get my car back.

And another question... does this reset your oil life?

And last but not least... Glad to see your car running good numbers now!
I'm sure I should have known this. Sorry.
My oil life indcator did NOT reset. At first I thought it was a sure sign that nothing changed but the engine starting had me pretty exited. Just roared like it had not before, and no popping of small backfire.

LOL, he was talking about my angry face one that I put up earlier. But I figure maybe I'll get an ego boost from at least one of our females.

it didn't take mine a millisecond. When it cranked it was no denying.

This made me laugh my ass off. I almost spit coffee.

I will say this. I started to get the feeling that a lot of people were doubting me on here. It really sucked. I don't believe there is any denying at this point that there has been a problem. If there is anyone who still doubts, I'd like to know why.

Junkie and Spike, I know I left myself open for a good joke here.

pulling the fuses was a good idea, not only do you NOT have to disconnect the battery, but you saved all the other settings on the car. In most cars, all you have to do is hit the brakes while the fuses are out or the battery is disconnected to make it "reset". no waiting required.
