Saw this badass car today at the auto show in San Antonio. I can only describe the artwork as "stunning"

I flew home from LA last Friday. On the Denver to Grand Rapids Michigan leg I boarded and turned on my noise canceling headphones. The flight attendant asked me to turn them off. The gentleman to my left asked me if I was in Denver on business. No, Denver was just a layover from LA. I asked him what brought him to Denver. His answer brought tears to my eyes.

My son was killed in Afghanistan. I came to Denver to bury him.

That is what makes this Camaro important. We have to remember every day what a high price we pay for the freedoms we enjoy. I didn't really need my noise canceling headphones for this flight. I needed to listen to a father who was grieving as so many have before.

Is the main reason, why I have Veteran1. See the attached video filmed at the PINKS ALL OUT this past weekend. The audio does not do it justice, as the crowd just went wild when Veteran1 pulled onto the strip.

After the exhibitional run, numerous Veterans and active duty military military came up and some were choked up emotionally.

It maybe just a vehicle wrapped in the moniker fo the American Flag one Master Sergeant said to me, but it's the message "Honor The Fallen & Support The Tropps" that he loved!

Several other tribute vehicles are around and more are coming and the active duty military loves it, as well as the Veterans.

Had the pleasure of viewing American Pride in person this weekend at the San Diego International Auto Show. It is just incredible and gave me goosebumps as I was walking around him looking at all the details. Made me proud to be ex-Navy.

This is an older thread (9/1/2010)...but today (1/2/2011) was the first time I've seen pics of that car. Beautiful!!! Probably too nice to drive. Belongs in a museum for all to appreciate. Where did the car end up?

It is am amazing car done with a lot of dedication and feeling from Scott Settlemire. Older thread shouldn't mean dead thread. There are so many new members at Camaro5 every day that have not seen this. The thread deseerves a weekly bump.

Here is a TENTATIVE list of Autoshows where "American Pride" will appear.........there will be many more appearances in the summer months -- not to mention next show season. We plan to keep this work of art for the forseeable future -- so that it can journey around our great country -- and that "We The People" can admire Mickey's artistry.
