Interesting...

Been looking for a solution for track day prep. Getting tired of the old jack stand routine.

Those lift bars seem like a pretty sweet setup! Where was that at a few months ago!

If they could be produced, I imagine they would be bars with something that looked like the ZL1 add on's lift pads on each end??

It makes the car SO easy to get off the ground!

On the 928, the bars lock into the front and rear jack points, have the mark in the middle so you're placing the jack at a balanced point on the car (similar to NASCAR).
Lift and place jack stands at either end on those marks. Repeat on the other side and you're done. The car is secure and balanced on jack stands in maybe 2 minutes. EASY!!

Just received a Quick Jack yesterday,(BL5000), assembled it last night, tested it out on my '81 El Camino, it lifted perfectly. Today I may pull the Camaro in and give it a try.
Question...is it absolutely necessary to use the pinch weld adaptors or can you lift at points inward of the rocker panels? The lift comes with rubber spacer blocks.

You can lift from anywhere that is solid enough to hold the weight, but remember that the quick jack lifts must be parallel with each other. This is a weakness of the quick jack versus a two/four post lift, where you can pick any four points to lift from. It seems to me that any good lifting points besides the pinch welds were not in line with each other on the Camaro--but I could be wrong. I have always lifted mine from the pinch welds with the zl1 addons adapters.

I'll just have get it in the shop, if the weather straightens out, to eyeball it, worst comes to worst I'll be ordering the adaptors from ZL1 addons.
Thanks for the response!

ok... so how does any of this help the OP?
There are lots of times you might need to actually use a jack. Flat Tire?
Don't have a personal shop?

The OP wanted to know how you all are using a floor jack to lift up the car. The owners manual isn't very clear and its a very good question.

OP was looking on how to get it on a two post lift. Under the rockers will work like previously mentioned.

So you won't get under any lift without jack stands? You do realize that the quick jack has the same thing as built in jack stands right? Your common sense isn't getting you very far. You can let the car down on the same kind of latch points like a jack stand has. Just like all lifts do. You don't get under a car that is only held up by hydraulic pressure.

I have the SLX, it is a couple inches to short to be a perfect fit. I wish I would have bought the EXT.
