V6 Coolant Temp Sensor location?

I have a 2012 Camaro 1LT V6

Trying to locate the coolant temp sensor but can’t seem to find it. I’ve done my research and can’t find anything. Ive looked to where the coolant pipe is, behind it as I’ve seen online. But it’s not there. Below is a pic of where it’s supposed to be according to what I’ve seen online. Any help would be very much appreciated

I think it's under this insulated tube, just above the oxy sensor on the driver's side.
