Ford factory race 302, GM where is your factory race 1LE

Not meaning to be a troll here but I just saw this,http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...aff=national#0, and was wondering why GM doesn't do the same for a few select 1LE Camaros. Would be nice wouldn't it.

Could just be me, but why would anyone in the right mind pay $99,000 for that? It could easily be done with a 1LE for half the price.. I would think GM doesn't do this is because it allows the customer to customize without paying the hefty price tag. I can't see anyone paying the money to buy that car. Of course, it's immoral to let a sucker keep his money. Again, just my opinion.

The funny thing is... I'd still have my money on a stock 1LE.

Gotta be fair though, we still use 1950's tech in our engine.

It's the race-spec version, similar to the COPO, non-street legal, except designed for track use not drag use.

DOHC engines have been around since the late 1920's.
