Shelby GT350R Mustang carbon fiber wheels Retail for nearly $30,000

From the article:
One of the Mustang6G.com forum members has gone head and ordered the optional lightweight carbon fiber wheels for the very popular Shelby GT350R and he was kind enough to show how much they cost retail price.

Might as well buy 2 of these cars, take the wheels off one and sell them to someone for $30k, then put some reg wheels on that one and sell it for $30k then you will have the other one paid off

The wheels are standard for the "R" package, no separate option price.

Not sure if to belive the article though. It reads like a third grader wrote it.
Not true at all. And this 350R is going to hurt a lot of feelings.

I was reading on some recent lap tests where it beat the Z/28 by 1 second. I was sort of surprised it wasn't more honestly for all the hype. They've had the Z/28 2 years to benchmark and I was really expecting the GT350R to blow the Z/28 out of the water like it was going backwards. The new Z06 is 5 seconds faster then the Z/28 on the GM test track and I was expecting that kind of beat down from the GT350R. The eye opener will come when the hopped up 6th Gen drops and Ford better have another trick up their sleeve or they'll be chasing the Camaro like they were for the entire 5th Gen run.

And $30K wheels are just idiotic if true. What kind of average Joe,who these cars are the target market for, can swing $30K wheels?

Ive read where its up to 5 seconds faster than the Z around some tracks too. We can speculate until we are both blue in the face. But on paper, this car is going to be a force.

If that is correct, it is absolutely ridiculous. You can buy Carbon Revolution wheels for $15k if you just have to have carbon fiber wheels on your Mustang.
