Scum bag dealership.....

I'm still jacked about this! Went to purchase a ZL-1 from Kenny Ross Cheverolet in Zeilienople PA. My sales man was nice, pulled the car around so I could drive it (before I signed paperwork), car manager came out and raised the price $5000.00 and said if I sign at 5 grand over the price I could drive it.
I didn't say a word, turned around and left. As long as I live, I will NEVER deal with that dealership again and I bought two cars from their dealership in Irwin already.
I have a little picture I will be sending to them.

That's pretty ridiculous. I just checked out a ZL1 at the local dealership yesterday and they were shocked when I told them I wouldn't pay the $6,995 ADM they had taped to the windshield.

I'm sure you'll find somewhere else willing to earn your business.

Most of the dealerships here in WA are marking up the ZL1 $10k.

Crazy they are still being Marked up

I got mine at $50 over invoice, and got a great trade in value - the deals are there if you look hard enough

Harnish in Puyallup is great to deal with. I recommend them to anyone trying to buy a Chevy now. I picked my zl1 up there a few weeks ago

Local dealer sold two for 65K without a second thought. Sales manager showed me the second one sold last month telling me what a "deal" the owner got. Sucker born every minute I suppose...does not help there are only two Chevy dealers within a hundred miles....

Unfortunately as long as there are folks out there willing to pay way over MSRP for the "latest and greatest", your going to have price gouging dealers...

Almost all ZL1s are marked up. Supply and demand. There are some dealers out there that do not Mark up.

Selling a ZL1 over list is not gouging. Nobody NEEDs a ZL1 that does not get good MPG. A buyer can buy a SS under list.
Gouging would be selling in bad times or higher than list for things a person needs to use to get by with.

Bottom line, if there are not many built then the cost will be higher because of demand. It also makes used one worth more later on if a low supply.

I will never buy anything from Kenny Ross. I'm from Pittsburgh and own a used car lot and have bought several cars from them until they wouldn't help me with to service problems. I think Century 3 Chevy has a ZL1 convertible and I know they want to move it before the snow comes.

That's ridiculous and IMO should be illegal, but they're not forcing you to buy it. Everyone should just do exactly what you did and turn around and leave

Sutherland Chevrolet in Nicholasville has a Victory Red Automatic. They will sell at msrp. Just tell them Geno sent you. See Chuck(sales) or Don(Gen Mgr).
