Didn't read the last part. My mistake. Mine is really careful with the Camaro, and her car as well so I don't mind her driving it. That was the main reason for the automatic though for her to be able to drive it when needed.

Mine is a manual... my left foot is always looking for the clutch in an auto. I just feel more connected to the car this way and makes the ride feel more fun. I learned in a manual (one of them an iroc-z!) and feel everyone should at least KNOW how to drive one - you just never know when you'll be in a situation that would require that knowledge.

I don't think it makes me more manly... just my preference and I actually feel awkward in an auto.
