Ordering Questions.
Just spoke with a local delearship and he said that they are accepting orders.
I asked about allocation spots and he said that there were no spots allocated to them and that all you needed to do was come in, order, and wait???? (they had 12 units currently in the que) This seems to contradict everything else I have heard. They are taking $500 deposits and then work up small amounts of paperwork so you at least have some sort of "contract". We are going to this delearship this afternoon to check it out.. Anyone have advice as to questions or anything else that should be asked or stated during the process?? I was going to order from another delearship seeing as they seemed very knowledgable and nice but they are not taking orders right now as their allocations slots were full and they had taken 3 more "paper orders" on top of those slots so it could be a while before they take any other orders. :( |

My dealership is accepting orders and not requiring a down payment, it's a small town dealer that has been getting orders filled almost once a week. They take your order and put it in, then GM picks up their orders one at a time about weekly. They figure if you order one and then back out, they'll have to trouble selling it anyway.

So what is the difference with allocation and non allocation???
If a dealership has allocation would that mean you get a "R6P" or whatever car??? Im honestly in no rush to get one but I do want to go ahead and put money down so I can konw that the first step is done. So far I have yet to find a delearship that has allocation and the one I spoke to today was the first that seemed not to car or know anything about Allocated units.... |

"R6P" designation was given to cars ordered before March 16th (give or take a day or two).
