Whats a transformer?

IDK, I grew up on the series, so I guess part of me wants to see Bumblebee as a VW Bug, but it was hard not to love GM stepping in and rocking the new (and old) Camaro in the 1st Transformers movie a couple years ago...plus the intro of the new 'Bee was beyond sick..

That said, I'll let Hollywood do what they need to do and I'll watch the 4th movie either way. As long as Shia isnt in it and Soundwave doesnt have another pet Decepticon that as big as a city block, then I'll be happy

The original Bumblebee was a Cybertronian Hover Car. Then a VW Bug. Then a reformatted car by the name of Goldbug.

Don't know why people are upset he's not a 5th or 6th gen. He's not even supposed to be a Camaro.

Also, the Camaro in TF:1 was a skinned Pontiac Goat -- not the Concept

I loved the Transformers as a kid and I still enjoy them... But, let's try not to turn in to zealots here.. They were then and are now a marketing tool to sell product. Hasbro was great with that. Hell, it's why they killed off practically everyone in the real Transformers: The Movie. More new toys!

haha you're right.
We complain about Transformers movies being 2 hr commercials for GM when all the cartoon episodes (past AND present) are 30min commercials for Hasbro!

I think we need to shut off out adult brains and turn on our kid brains when we watch this stuff.

The concept was revealed in 2006. So it was no surprise about what it would look like back then. The 6th gens design isn't even official yet, much less revealed. Yes it's possible, but very unlikely. You can't compare this time to the 2007 movie.

What I think he mean to say is that it was modeled/suppose to be a 5th gen concept.

So is it Transformers 4: Tokyo Drift? The cars in this film look stupid as all get out, especially Prime, looks like an Autozone APC tribute truck or something with the stupid looking hood and smoke stacks, what was wrong with looking cool? (Peterbilt) Bumblebee should have been a 2014 z28. What better way to advertise the 2014 Camaro, than to put it in TF4??? Why make him a 67 Camaro that looks like Brian Earl Spilner once owned??? Im sorry, I may be in the minority on here, but these movie cars look hideous.
