Ok, clayed the section before starting, used the m105 on a new orange hexagon pad 4 pea sized drops, sprayed with a mist of detail spray. Smeared the compound over the area Im working on, then did 4 passes, sprayed a mist of detail spray on the pad then did another 4 passes. Im going slow, not a crawl but slow, im trying the keep the pad as flat as possible. And after I wipe down with a waffle weave micro fiber towl to check my work thats what it looked like. Very frustrated

What speed?
Is that what it looked like before you started and you're not making progress or is it getting worse? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

Speed 5. Yeah I definitely made it worse, there was some light swirls and the rubbing compound mark but that's gone, and now I'm left with what you see.

Are these new pads? Could they be dirty?

That or the compound is drying out before he notices.Prime your pad with the product you are using before you start then use detail spray as needed to moisten your pad.

Tape off a 2x2ft section and work that section until it is corrected that way you won't screw up the entire car and do not let your pad dry out.If you were close to me I would be at your door in a New York minute.

The pad I originally used to polish out the rubbing compound marks was a little dirty but I dropped it and threw that out right away. So what is in the video was with a new pad.
