vinyl rally stripe installation question...
Looking for anyone who has personally installed vinyl rally stripes. Recieved my glossy black vinyls today. Read instructions and installation threads on c5. but i'd like some pointers from someone who has done it themselves, and not a shop.

i used to install a little vinyl jus take yur time do it inside a closed area make sure you clean the entire car before you start and make sure you have a blow torch handy to stretch the vinyl if needed and have lots of tape handy!

in the instructions it said specifically not to use a heat source. doesn't say why though. too bad i live on fort hood housing, and the only garage i have... is a carport. have to find a spot of post.

yah i heat is in case you mess up and wrinkle it the heat will stretch it and save it but if you dont mess up which is pretty rare if your not experianced you wont need it no worries jus read the instructions really good

I just did it last weekend. Didn't come out as good as I hoped so I'm doing it over again. It can be harder than it looks.

Just measure carefully - use A LOT of soapy solution, and take it easy!! My wife and I did ours in about an hour and a half and they came out perfect! Just took it in and had the vinyls removed and had them painted on, and the painter used our placement to make his marks, said he hadn't seen a pro do them that good. Take your time, be patient and don't panic. It is a great felling when you see it done! Good luck - you can do it!

me and my uncle installed mine saturday, we measured off more or less put some soapy shampoo water and squeeged em on! got a crease in one.. but the measurements were pretty good... not very hard take your time! its simple enough...
