Temporary front license plate

Got pulled over for the second time in the Camaro going to Vegas last month. Going through the desert a cop hit me for doing 94. He was really cool and me and the wife talked to him a bit. He let me go on the 94 but wrote me a fix it ticket for my tint. I have to have a cop sign it off but I don't have a front license plate and I'm afraid to get another ticket while getting this one signed off. I just need a temporary solution. Of course the tint is going right back on as well.

I used toggle bolts from Lowe’s to attach the bracket to the grill

My question is are you a resident of Nevada? If so then you have to comply with the laws. What I don't understand is why cops think that just because you are visiting the state that they think you are going to comply with their states regulations when you are already complying with your states. This is only about the tint and license plate or other cosmetic laws that vary state by state. I think it is ridiculous. I got pulled over in Georgia a few years ago for tint and the cop let me go when I told him I was from another state. This happens a lot with military personnel stationed in other states when the car is registered in their home state.

I bought a generic plate holder and zip tied it to the grill while waiting for my Jac-Fab. I used the holder so the plate wouldn't scratch the grill.

If you live in CA, and your tint is legal there, they can't right you a ticket for that.

From their Tint Law...

https://law.justia.com/codes/nevada/...s484d-440.html

2. Except as otherwise provided in subsections 3, 4 and 5 a person shall not:

(a) Place, install, affix or apply upon the windshield or any side or rear window of a motor vehicle which is required to be registered in this State; or

(b) Operate on any highway a motor vehicle required to be registered in this State on which there has been placed, installed, affixed or applied upon the windshield or any side or rear window of the motor vehicle,

Yea second time I've been pulled over, the first time I was doing 88 and he let me go. That guy was a Z06 owner though and we talked cars for a bit. My wife just looked at me and was wondering how I get so lucky because she just got one a few months back in her Lexus. I guess I'm a good talker or something. Or cops like Camaro's more than they like Lexus.

The rear and back are okay but I'm pretty sure you can't have the driver or passenger side tinted.

For the front plate, I wanted something more permanent and tried zip ties to tie to the grille and they eventually got brittle and broke. So I switched to insulated wires and those seem to work better but it's tougher to tie them and keep them tight while hiding them behind the plate.
