Kinda changes my plans on using the B6 when I lower the car. I think a lot of us were under the impression these are great options for lowered cars.

I love my B6's on my lowered car. Maybe I would like them better with less spring pre-load or maybe my springs were a bit soft and needed a little more preload but they feel great.

I don’t know what happened to JPSS or Pete. But remember the Z28 light kit. Part of the deal with putting Z28 springs on 1le struts was the rear z28 springs were too short supposedly. Pete said they had to modify the struts. I wonder how z28 springs would match up both length or height wise with the B6s and also dampening wise. The B6 are supposed to be a little firmer than the 1le dampers. So it seems like a better match for the z28 springs.

I don’t care about how much drop drop or ride quality. If it’s lower great if not fine. Just want a fairly stiff linear rate.

Can someone please help lol? I'm planning on buying the B6 for my 1le... off of EBay. About $868 US or about $1,100 CDN. What if thw shop that I take it to doesn't follow the instructions at the beginning of this thread? Any damage? I have a little OCD, so I won't be able to sleep for nights if I think that they screwed the car up. Any help is appreciated

I didn't modify mine and I don't have any issues. If you check out Zach's car, everything is taken to the next level.

I'm on BMR 1.25" drop springs.

Very nice... I have Pfadt springs that I'm thinking of installing... might be dropped by roughly that amount... do you have any pics of it?

Between the lowering springs, 19" wheels, and weight of the Whipple, the front is pretty low.

I have been running the Bilsteins b6 setup on the 1.25” BMR drop springs for many years. I also cut one inch off the bump stops on the rears ; but I took half inch of each end like Pete recommended. Also dropped tires to 19” with -2.5 camber front and -1.1 camber rear. It still handles pretty good for an 8 year old Camaro with no real complaints.

I took off 1” of material from the bump stop in total but I removed material from each end. . I did this because the density of the bump stop appeared linear , So I took off 1/2” on each end to remove 1” total.
