I have long tubes and cams and couldn't hear my car when you were idling next to me lol.

Driving along side of you, your car sounded amazing. Made me want to ditch my cats or mufflers. Ditching both would probably be a bad idea though.

Don't ditch the cats, SLP makes the Loudmouth for your car as well. Pretty much a 3" pipe with some tips. That will definitely make your car a lot louder

Or if you want to go ballistic go the Noweeds route. Quiet when you want it and stupid loud for fun times. I went down that route since mine's a DD

What's the noweeds route? Sound like you are referring to electric cutouts which would be ideal but they are so damn expensive and seem to always leak or malfunction in nearly every testimonial I've heard.

And Rich, I used to have muffler deletes. They sound nice and deep on your huge displacement engine with 3" piping. But they sound a bit raspy on the 4.6L 3v engine I have. And our exhaust is 2.5" and my primaries are 1 3/4" on my long tubes whereas I believe you told me your kooks were 1 7/8". What I'm getting at is I don't think you can make my a mustang sound like a camaro. They both just have a different sound. Although I do like how mine sounds with cams and full exhaust I was in awe at how monstrous your car sounded. Definitely one of the best sounding cars I've heard.

.
Noweeds is an exhaust diverter. Pretty close to a cutout but unlike a cutout it shuts out the regular exhaust path completely and diverts everything out through a shorter path that exits maybe a feet or so after the cats. Agreed that its not cheap but its definitely more reliable (2 yr warranty) and does not come with the typical nagging issues in cutouts. Also if you consider that it is a bolt on (does require some cutting) you can save some moolah there and it starts to look reasonable from a price point. Did mine myself.

Not sure if they have a mustang variant though.

Sounds really interesting. I checked out their site and it looks like they don't make a kit for the mustang unfortunately.
