I did it. Gen 5 to Gen 6
I've been noticing the pricing coming down on the used 16 and 17 gen 6 cars. Then a 2017 SS nightfall gray vert showed up at a local dealer asking a fare $23,999 and I pulled the trigger. These rental and lease vehicles are staring to show up now. These gen 6 cars are new and improved in every way and that LT1 pulls like a mother. More happy now!

I don't know. I'd never trade my 5th gen in for one. I just don't like the styling, inside or out. Hopefully, they will fix that for the 7th gen.

$24k for a 6th gen SS CONVERTIBLE?! Wow! I didn't realize they'd come down that much! Congrats on the new ride, but I have to say:

6th gen Camaros are nice but to me they just miss the mark on recapturing the first Gen feel which is what really hooked me on the 5th ..but to each their own ..grats on the new car sounds like a beauty at a great price.

The 5th gens have that American muscle look to me. After that, not so much.
I will keep my almost 10 year old SS as long as I can.

Enjoy the new ride but as a former owner of a '68 Camaro the 5th gen tripped the trigger again and had to have....wish the '68 was still mine.

I would never buy a car that was a rental. People drive em like they stole them. Is it a 1ss or 2SS. I looked at a few 16’s, but at that price range they all had cloth interior

After driving a few of those rentals my self, I will say that the 6th gen just isn't for me.
I can go on and on about reasons why, and why I'm skipping this gen... suffice it to say that one reason is that I like my car more. Congratulations on your new ride. They are still very much quality cars and they are a lot of fun. Post pics... we wanna see that ride... |
