Need help figuring what line this is

Not sure where to post this, but recently i was changing my spark plugs and on the drivers side i was trying to remove a line so I can have easier access to the spark plug and I broke this line. Now I need help trying to figure out what is it and what was it for in order for me to replace it.

Looks like a pcv line.

That's the "dirty side" PCV line on the V6. You can splice in some 3/8" PCV/vapor hose for a quick fix but this would be an EXCELLENT time to add a catch can since that line needs to be cut for installation.

Yes, it's the "dirty side" PCV line. Listen to ariZona28 and put in a catch can. There's a wealth of information on this forum on how to do it and why. Not a wallet killer either.

I looked up videos on it and how to switch it but the actual pcv valve will not come out no matter what tool i use or how much force and it ended up braking in half. Why is it not coming out and what can i do to get it out?

The valve should just pull out. May want to take a small piece of wood or brass and a hammer and LIGHTLY tap all around it to help break it loose.

I think you have to turn the pcv valve while pulling up on it to get it out . Only need to turn it a 1/4 to 1/2 turn and it should pull out. IIRC

Could not get it out, so with the valve broken in half, decided to just buy some fuel lines and try to get the line in the broken valve and just run the car like that. Would any problem occur? Maybe also add the catch can

These LFX engines are precision machines and you really need to fix this correctly. Get the old valve out. As I understand it may not be a "valve" but just an orifice device depending on your year of vehicle. Soak the area with penetrating fluid and try to coax out the remaining piece. Hate to say it but as a last resort you MAY need to pull the valve cover. I've not attempted this yet but after thumbing through my Chilton manual it says you need to remove the intake 1st. Take your time and work methodically. If you managed to change the spark plugs you should be able to accomplish this. With the intake off you'll be able to inspect the valves and see if there's any carbon build-up, if there is you can decide on a plan of action for that but I would focus on the original challenge before I would expand my maintenance agenda.

Once I take the cover off, is there anything I should inspect, clean, replace?

I'm assuming you made sure each set of valves was closed before you started blasting them right? Not trying to insult here, just making sure.

Did you maybe leave power to your coils disconnected or some other connector? Go back over every single connector and ground you disconnected.
