If it gives me good numbers and keeps my warranty intact I would be all over it.

If it doesn't than the risk outweighs the gain so I would go for something else. Either way more power is on the way.

Me too, 500 at the crank doesn't seem like enough in this very heavy car.

You have to tear into a lot of critical moving parts for the kit vs. adding headers and cai (both which come off either way).
Requires much higher level of skill to put the kit on.
One member lost his harmonic balancer following a dealer installed cam.

Is there a comparable "kit" for the corvettes? Go back roughly 10 years.... anything? No head and cam kit that's gm approved with a tune? Hmmmmmm

I have a game plan of LS3 POWER UPGRADE, retaining the warranty and when its up going for long tubes, no cats, ported tb, etc. And at that point having a monster n/a car. Makes sense to me. Any others thoughts?

Sounds like a plan, but if you do this on top of the Chevy package:
  • ARH Shorties (better then Z/28 manifolds I would wager)
  • Solo cats
  • CAI CAI
  • Scoop
  • Ported TB
  • The Wedge - LOL

With the Chevy tune I think you will be well over 500 at the crank. And your warranty should be fine.

I would love to see a dyno with the above combo. Could be a no CEL, keep your warranty, high horsepower plan. 450-460 RWHP would be my guess. Easy 11s in the 1/4 with tires and good driving. You could at least beat a Z/28 on the 1/4&1/8th length tracks.

You are looking at over $6K unless you can squeeze in some DIYs. But if you look around sometimes $6K will get you 550+ rwhp.

To match our shorties we now offer ARH 'catted downpipes'.

Nice! ARH is good quality stuff. How close do you think the HP would be versus your 1 7/8 LTs and shorty cats? Especially with the H&C combo.

Will CELs be controlled untuned with your down pipes like the Solos? We are talking no tune, keep your warranty here.

The only problem I see with this kit is its dealer installed.

After looking at the instructions I would not want my local dealer doing the heads and cam swap. No way!

They couldn't even get my steering column back together right when they replaced my steering wheel, I redid it myself. The thought of most dealers tearing into a stock LS3 is a nightmare.

That's basically my plan as well. I'm trying to find a descent upgrade with warranty, I'll put it on the GM card and pay it off in a year with no inerest. By the time the warranty is up I'll probably be done paying for the car so then I can get a little more ambitious. I can't afford for this car to break and then have to pay for it to get fixed. I'm not ballin like that.

I'm right there with ya! No way do I trust my local dealer - they have a tough enough time doing an oil change!

IF this package is offered and warrantied I will be ALL over it. THIS is what GM needs to be doing! Offering upgrades (parts) under warranty... they have the parts bin! And the aftermarket will always be strong for the people who want more!
