I totally treasured it and became a Chevy girl at heart. I could appreciate a nice classic car at a car show, cruising down the road, or the power on a drag strip.

For my first car, he helped me buy a 69 Chevelle Malibu with a 307, auto with posi-trac. A clean car with a straight body and good paint. I put Daytona 60s with polished aluminum wheels on. Had a Pioneer sound system installed. A nice car with power, but not too much. She was a perfect fit.
Unfortunately, while I was out of town, my youngest brother was allowed to drive my car. He had had his license about two weeks and was showing off to his friends and ran it into a telephone pole. Needless to say I was heartbroken. I tease him now that he owes me and I am part owner of his 67 Camaro. I bought a 72 El Camino worthy of restoration but that wasn’t meant to be either. A drunk driver broadsided me and totalled it. I was resigned to the fact that I wasn’t meant to own one.
Then I saw the concept Camaro, a modern classic that I could get excited about. I knew instantly that I had to have one.
My dad has since passed away, but I know that he would have been just excited about the new Camaro as I am and that I ordered one.
nice story She , do you still have the model ?

For me it was the Corvette before there was a Camaro or Mustang. When I was 10 or 11 someone brought some car magazines to school and I was trapped in car world from then on. In 1969 I saw my first Camaro Z28 and my heart raced, man what a sight that was. Always wanted a Corvette, but they were just out of reach. Almost bought a Pinto and a 318 Barracuda in 1972 before I decided to save a little more and buy a 1973 Z28 that took over 5 months to come in after I ordered it.

From my birth in '77 to 1981, dad (who was a big time muscle car nut) had a 73' Trams-Am with the 455. In 1981, he sold the T/A for a 71' Z28 Camaro with a 350 LT-1.

Long story short.. I've been in love ever since!

Nope. Had two younger brothers that wouldn't leave it alone. Now I have a 1:18 just like it, a 1:18 70 El Camino, a 1:24 69 Chevelle and a 1:32 Camaro concept. Holding on to the memories.

I was at a dealership were my mother works, just looking around, I had saved up 4K from working construction looking to buy my first car. My choices were between Honda Accord, Pontiac Sunfire. LAME! as i was getting ready to leave, i look into the distance and see this DIRTY car, full of dust, i had no idea what it was. So i go towards it and take a look inside, all torn leather, and nasty interior. Couldn't even tell what color the car was. Anyway, like right out of a movie: i dust off the dust form the back of the car and it says "Camaro" My mother told me it had just arrived, 1998 T-tops leather, so she gets one of the employees to clean it up. It was sent out for interior repairs and the next week i stopped by, they drive the Camaro out from the the back and i almost dropped dead . It was the most beautiful car i had ever seen! From then on, i have been In love with Camaros and muscle cars alike.

Here she is, Meet "Elizabeth"

Here she is in snow! (look just liked this when i first saw her, except covered in dirt and dust haha!

bored so ill bite

I was never really THAT into cars. i thought they looked cool no doubt but it was my sister (who is two years younger that was into them). Her and my dad would go to car shows together and mostly i just wouldnt care. then about 8 years ago I was watching a bond movie and saw the aston martin that he drove and that was it. Even today i cant tell you anything spec wise about an aston martin but wow is it nice. But i will say it inspired me to take intro. to the internal combustion engine as I went through college (just finished last year with a degree in mech E) and now.... I cant just stop looking at cars. I have to be honest most of the older cars do nothing for me, other than the 2nd gen corvettes. but give me time. that said once i get my baby in the next month its going to take everything in my power to not use what i learned in my engineering class to tweak with her.

oh here is a picture of the martin.

Our '03 GMC Envoy.

Before then, I was a GM fan, but I wasn't as involved with the industry and I sure as hell wasn't crazy about their cars. It was after we bought the Envoy and I spent a ton of time in our BPG dealer that I started to become really interested in all the cars there...and that quickly expanded to Chevy dealers and Cadillac dealers, and pretty soon I was reading up on everything I could find about GM and their products on the internet.
