No, its been in the 70's and 80's for the last few weeks. Snow here usually ends in March, but we got 14" in the 2nd week of April, Which is really unusual.

There are a bunch of ZL1s that are CPO and in the 41-45K range. You can find some really clean ZL1s since the 16+s came out. Plus, the depreciation is mostly gone.

I found a supercharged and modified 2010 for $26k locally with low mileage while shopping for my car... Keep lookin until you find what you need and want. I ended up with a nice 1SS with zero options, paid a bit more than the supercharged car but I also got a car still under the factory warranty.

What's up....figured it was the same dude from LS1GTO. I know this is an outdated post but just wanted to follow up on how things went. I as well have been in the same boat. I actually just passed up a $15K offer on my GTO as I didn't want to sell and sit for a while without a car(regretting this now as I am 99% certain the 1LE is the next car for me).

$28-$30K should get you a 1LE easy with a few modifications (i.e. headers/etc..) included. Although the market is all over the place I consistently see that a stock 1LE can be had for around $25K and you can find some ones with quite a bit of aftermarket for close to $30K.

The question then comes though if spending that kind of money why not go all the way into a Z/28 or ZL1.

Me personally I have fought this dilemma all summer and have landed on that I just like the looks of the 1LE and Z/28 front fascia better and absolutely despise the look of the LSA supercharger under the hood of the ZL1. I would love to get a Z/28 but $40K+ for me at the moment is just to much although I hope to have one at some point. Also not a huge fan of the Z/28 appearance mods such as the wicker and splitter. This being said I am certain about NPP and Recaros and ZL1 wheels so basically a 1LE is a must.

My conclusion has been find an aftermarket supercharged or H/C/I 1LE which gets similar performance to Z28, the looks of a 1LE, and the power output of a stock ZL1. I personally like the appearance of a TVS2300 style supercharger so think this is the route I am going now just to find someone who is looking to move on.

For 33K I'd sell my 2015 Green Flash edition 2ss/rs 14,500 miles (sorry no 1LE) and include an edelbrock supercharger, you'd just have to install it. and for 3K more I'd throw in a ZL1 gm performance differential kit and Sphon rear control arms and toe links.
