When Camaro convertible owners are talking about bows, are they counting them from the front or rear of the car? I don't seam to have a problem yet, but I'd like to know where to look when they are talking about the 5th bow. Thank You, jarhead1945

On star alerted me of the enhancement a couple of days ago for mine, I'm going to put off the fix as long as I can. If it ain't broke don't try and fix it.

No problems here, either, yet, but it's the one in the back nearest the rear window.

I'm new to this game as my 2012 2SS/RS convertible was just built in the last couple of weeks and I'm picking it up in a few weeks. VIN is 2G1FT3DW7C9193056. I thought I've read somewhere that the fix on the tops had been started on the assembly line in February but who knows for sure? Should I contact my dealer early or take a wait and see? Any advice would be appreciated.

Definitely wait to see if the top has any problems before you have any work done on it. You have 2 years to think on it. Read up on the problems here ahead of time so you know what to look for.

I got my letter from GM yesterday. I thought about taking Evelyn in this week sometime. However, since I have rub marks, and a small hole on the passenger side

(both of which have been documented with the dealership), I will need at least a new canvas layer as well. Does anyone know the success rate at this point with replacing the canvas and not having issues later? I am wondering if I should wait even longer (maybe the end of the summer) to see how the replacements are working.

I had mine done at my dealer... I don't think they actually did anything to the top. I'm trying to convince my dealer to do a top replacement...

i would wait until the 5th bow breaks, and then bring it in with damaged canvas, and a broken 5th bow and demand a complete new top. thats what im planning to do. im going to have the enhancement done, then from then on ill wait until it all breaks (which seems inevitable! just a matter of time) then demand a complete new assembly!
