Will hands freee work without Onstar subscrip?

I am about to cancel my onstar. Tired of paying 30 bucks a month. My concern is if the hands free feature for my phone will still work or not. I don't want to lose that.

You mean the bluetooth function right? If so yes...but I can't see the Onstar hands-free feature working without subscription.

The hands free On Star feature will not work unless you have an active subscription. That wasn't a serious question was it? You were just testing us, right?

There are two different handsfree calling options -- one using Bluetooth and your cell phone, the other using OnStar minutes. The OnStar method will go away when you cancel OnStar, the bluetooth will continue to work.

Yes - this.

Your bluetooth phone will still use your car's microphone and speakers without OnStar.

Im talking about the bluetooth. When ever you Hit phone while a cell phone is connected you say there persons name and it calls. If you hit phone without a cell phone connected it says using onstar. But they both go through the same interface. I guess Im asking will I still have the lady asking who to call or will I have to make the call from my cell but the voice just goes through my car.

If you drop the OnStar Navigation option, the monthly fee drops to $18.95 for just the Safe and Sound Plan. That's what I did; it seemed worth it to me for the benefits it offers. That would also allow you to keep up the OnStar Hands Free calling if you want it, but as everyone is saying, the bluetooth will still work if you drop OnStar.

He's worried about the lady.
The lady will stay, she's built in.
