Did they not offer to contact Chevrolet engineering?

That is weird because if you hold it for 7 seconds it turns everything completely off. Not sure why it would still activate.

No he didn't. His advice was to try and find someone who owns an auto Zl1 and ask them. When I laughed and said you're kidding right. He said they could try and data log it but he really didn't know what the values mean. Yikes! Hold the button down for 7-10 seconds try and launch the car...tires spin and traction control comes on

From the normal driving mode. Push the traction control button just once, and do a pull, see what it does.

O.k. some progress. Attached is a link to a GM video explaining traction control management. Basically even in mode 5 engine torque management is still on
I also found a video with the ZL1 manager saying that mode 5 requires drag radials. Good so far. However I still think I have a problem because I don't everything is turning off after holding down the switch for 5 seconds or more |

I re read the thread and this IMO is normal after driving one for 8 years now. If M6 in PTM 5 especially in 1st the ECM will cut the fuel with excessive wheel spin.. If its street driving stay in sport mode the TC and ECM work together better even with WOT power shifts. |

It does generate some strange fault codes when it cuts the power, C0242 and a load of can bus communication fault codes in various modules. |

If you are generating codes I would start checking grounds.

Many people have improved things by adding an additional engine ground.
