Being a newbie this year, I will follow our crowd - the only thing I saw was the Starting Line Parties on Fri & Sat that you had posted to on BangShift

I don't know if I'll be travelling on Fri with your group or Sat with David's group - I am waiting on an answer from a HS friend that wants to go but has to consult his vacation list on Monday. If I am going alone, I will travel Fri with your group.

We'll be down on Saturday early afternoon. Does everyone have a place to stay in Charleston? We live 20 miles north of Charleston. We could help out with finding a place for you to stay if needed. Our first Power Tour and we're in for the LONG HAUL!!!! Ready to roll!!

Questions for the experienced:

Do you bring shade, such as a the pop-up shade canopy's or not worry about it?

Events at each location: Do you have to sign up for the autocross and drag racing?
If so. where and when?

I really wouldn't have room for a shade canopy, but I've seen others with them. I just tried to find shade where I could under vendor tents, etc.

I've not had to sign up for drag racing, but autocross is a different story I believe. May need to check on that when you arrive.

If shade is real concern, bring what you can. Most venues don't have many shade trees. A lot of open space. I have the chairs that have their own pop up shades. Something like in this link. http://www.amazon.com/Bravo-Sports-Q.../dp/B006QR1L5O First one I found, just to give you an idea.

I am meeting Jim at the Cracker Barrel on hwy 53 and I-85 at 645 am Saturday for breakfast. Plan on heading to Charlotte at around 7:30 am (depending on how much Jim eats). Anyone who wants to drive up with us is welcome.

Let me know if you plan to go with us, so we don't leave anyone.
