Thanks for your comment, it's very helpful.

Thanks you so much

Also consider that many parts are not Camaro specific, and GM isn't going anywhere even if they stop making one car.
Thanks you

OP, I do believe the GM will cancel the Camaro, unfortunately. GM has yet to release any new information on a 7th generation, so that doesn't bode well. GM killed Camaro once, back in 2002, so I don't see why they won't do it again.

On the other hand, I suppose GM could make a 7th generation but continue it on the current Alpha platform; in other words, the exterior design would be the only major change. I suppose doing that would lower development costs.

For GM to continue with the Camaro, they're going to have to do it with a shared platform. Right now it shares a platform with the two remaining rear wheel drive cars - the two Cadillacs - so the they can spread the costs around, but the Caddy is expected to go full electric in the future.

Ford is doing it right - the new Mustang will be based on the new Explorer rear wheel drive platform, meaning it will probably be around for a good many years since that platform is in demand. That's why it really pissed me off that GM could have made the new Blazer a "real" Blazer and planned a shared platform with a new Camaro.
