Well said. I found the F1's dangerous under 60* and terrible in any rain.

I've had my BFG's for about a month now, they definitely are a confidence builder. The GY's were scary.

The BFG's Comp 2 A/S is a great choice for and A/S tire...I've had them on for several months and love them, smooth, quiet, and year around traction in any weather condition...
thanks, although my camaro doesn't see winter / harsh weather anymore so for my next round of tires i've been watching what to get. I'd prefer the performance of a summer tire, so with that being said should i look at other tires?

BFG also offers a summer only tire, here's a link check it out... http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...odrich/home.do

In short, yes. These may be good for an all season tire but they are nothing special for a summer tire. Depending on budget there are many better tires for summer only use...PSS, new pilot 4 or whatever its called, new continental sport contact etc. I run a conti all season for the fall and spring and a second set of wheels with proper summers for the summer. Too much compromise with 700HP and an all season.

I don't track my car. An occasional trip down the quarter mile and weekend pleasure cruising. For me this was a no brainer over the dangerous F1's that came on the car. I could well afford the MPSS or Conti's but I wanted an exact size fit, and the BFG's had great reviews so why spend more then was necessary?

Although these tires are not specific to summer only tires that does not eliminate them from a debate as a quality summer tire replacement with dual usage purpose A/S...For a DD car that's not tracked on a regular basis it's a no brainer, same speed rating and longer life and safer...How many times on the street are you going to use even the stock HP our cars make???

You can't even compare anything else if it rains. BFG Comp-2 A/S are great if you hit a track day that has some rain. They wear awesome at a regular track day.

I have around 715rwhp and the BFG comp 2 A/S actually handle the HP quite well.

I'm going to have to grab a set of these to go with a set of MRR z28 replicas. Being in Michigan, its possible for drive into work at 5am be near freezing and end up in the 60's by the afternoon. And then back cold again at night. The GY's are not good if you like to drive your car in early spring and late fall because of this. A tire that can withstand colder temps in morning and evening and still perform well when its warm would be nice. And for the price it just seems like a no brainer.
