Customized my new BMR adjustable LCA’s

Took my suspension to the next dimension after modifying my new adjustable LCA’s. To anyone who wants to have dual dampening coilovers and the adjustable lower control arms, it is doable but you need to modify the control arms if you are lowering as well.

Here are some pictures of some rear suspension upgrades and the modifications I did on the new LCA’s. This requires knowledge and experience of fabrication including welding to do this correctly and at the high cost of adjustable LCA’s, I suggest you go to a fab shop if you can not cut, grind, weld and properly paint metal.

If you lower your rear dual coilovers you will hit the braided fluid reservoir line and it simply won’t work if you go lower than say stock height. What’s the point in that right.. nobody buys dual coilovers to stay stock height LOL.

Here’s a fix...

Test fitting reservoir line clearances. Works great and plenty of clearances now at full lowered coilover.

What about rotating the canister 180 degrees so the hose is on the opposite side with more clearance??

The canisters have plenty clearances and rotation of the canisters themselves unfortunately won’t resolve the canisters fluid hoses. The braided hoses on the lower adjusters/ canisters need a opening so the hoses drop inside of the LCA. This is needed if you lower your coilovers and use adjustable lower control arms. The hoses when lowered are at bottom of the coilovers and sit dead center of the control arms and at fully lowered sit about half way down inside the LCA. On the BMR LCA’s they have a small hole that is actually perfect for a marking of how far inside the LCA’s the hoses sit in. I cut out the top section to match say stock opening space and cut downward to the small hole for centering location.

BMR built these things great and solid. After cutting my openings I probably did not need to add the extra side supports but wanted a piece of mind by being certain. After adding the extra side supports following cutting the openings these things are so strong you could use them on a monster truck..LOL.
