Calendar Setting Loses Date

2010 2SS. My calendar on the dash keeps losing track of the date. My clock stays correct along with all the other settings. Anybody know why this is the case and how to fix it?

I just reset the date to the correct one. Mine has always done it. If the car sits for a while, or sometimes just randomly it will be a few days behind.

Same here...it's definitely enough to make you think you are losing your mind.

For awhile I thought it was something with my battery. I used to only hook up to the tender over the winter, but now it is hooked up as soon as I shut off the car and the date still slowly rolls back.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one...maybe we should turn this thread into a (What date in history does you car think it is?) game. LOL

My car thinks today is:

Same here. Just does it randomly. No set schedule. I’ll just notice it’s off and adjust.

That's funny! I'll have to check my car and see what day it think it is. She's been keeping up lately so I'm sure I'll have to help her along any day now.

If the car sits for 2 or 3 days it will stop. Never bothers me.

I got you all beat. Mine sat for most of the summer. Yesterday I noticed on accident that mine was at 3/14/09 I kinda wish it was then. Be easy to get a complete GFX kit and some of the other cool discontinued parts if it was! I’ve never pulled a battery cable so I don’t know how long it’s been like that.

Hey...that was the day my order was broadcasted (10 days before it was born)!! I wouldn't want to go back quite that far because that was the longest 3 months ever, but definitely were some good times!

Misery loves company.... I wonder if there is a button battery in the system somewhere that is going dead... Mine (2010) didn't start doing it until about 3 or 4 years ago... But then if it was a battery going bad, you would think the clock would be off in addition to the date since they have chips that do all that in one...

So, I guess we add this to the list.....

Random loss of calendar date
Heated seat wire that breaks on the driver's side
TPMS sensors that won't program
Dash cracks at the air bag
Dumb skip shift (at least I got mine bypassed)

Subject: Calender Date on Radio Display Changes

Models: 2010 Buick LaCrosse
2010 Cadillac SRX
2010 Chevrolet Camaro, Equinox
2010 GMC Terrain
Equipped with UYE Radio ONLY
Condition/Concern
Some customers may comment that the current calender date on their radio display changes.

This condition may be caused by a software anomaly.

Recommendation/Instructions
Important: Do not replace the radio for this condition.

Reprogram the radio using the latest calibration available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the Service Programming System (SPS) procedures in SI.
During radio programming you may be required to select multiple calibrations dependant upon vehicle equipment. Have the vehicle build/RPO information available during the following procedure to ensure the correct calibrations are selected.
During programming, the battery voltage must be maintained within the proper range of 12-15 volts. Only use the approved Midtronics® PSC 550 Battery Maintainer (SPS Programming Support Tool EL-49642) or equivalent during programming.
When using a multiple diagnostic interface (MDI) for reprogramming, ensure that it is updated with the latest software version.
After successfully reprogramming the radio, ensure that any necessary post-programming procedures are performed. For the appropriate control module programming and setup document and the required procedures, refer to Radio Programming and Setup in SI.
