On a side note it would be nice if somehow somebody could group all of these blend door threads together. Lots of duplicate info. Hard to keep track (if you're interested).
That is awesome. I measured around 44-45º yesterday on mine, which is fine for me. It's starting get into the mid 90's down here in Florida now, so I am so dang happy to have it working.

True, it would be nice to have this information about the blend door in one area. I was driving yesterday and it was probably the first time I got a little miffed(I can never get angry, pissed, mad at my C5) as I looked down at that dial set 2-3 clicks to the left of the off/max dot. I have a 2014 so has this issue been fixed on the 15-19s? I can't imagine GM putting out a recall(with all the free labor they would have to give away). Maybe having the motor not step as much, thus putting less pressure on the door. Then again, what do I know, I still a happy Camaro driver

Thanks for the information. Yeah, that's what it seems to be coming in at, around $3000. There are videos on Youtube on how to repair this as well as many forum members who have successfully done this fix. As you can figure, the final bill is mostly labor.

Cost me $100 out of pocket with my extended warranty for the blend door repair. Technician sent me pictures of the windshield and dash out.
Total repair was around $1,800.

Seems like if someone could adjust the extents of the blend door stepper motor to not go as far that this would keep the door from breaking.

I wonder too. Has anyone complained of multiple rattles?

Mine works half way. As long as it is not too hot or too cold what does come from the system is enough. On an average 30 degree day the car will get some heat after about 5 minutes. To supplement I turn on the seat heater. I just can't see spending 1.5K to get this fixed. Mine is a 2013 so I suspect the warranty is expired by now.

Yeah I had the dealer fix mine too. It cost me $2300 but that was because I had a large crack in my windshield and they were afraid it was going to come a part when removing it so the windshield cost me $600. They told me the windshield cost so much because of the heads up display. I figured the old blend door lasted eight years and 155k and don't plan on having this car for another eight years or another 155k so I just went ahead with.

Also pondering if JB weld would strengthen the door or cause less flex and therefore brittle? I don't have a scanner to set the actuators limits but understand there is a default setting when battery power is removed.
Think JBweld could only help, don’t see how it would make the plastic brille, only more resistant to cracking. Also think that applying a dry PTFE lube to the blend door stub that fits into the actuator would help reduce binding.

I have read this and the other threads listed in this thread and it seems that the 2010 models do not have an open / closed cycle. The solution could be 2 clicks before the maximum of the blue field.

Finally do 2010 models have any advantage?
