I add a set of TSP 1 7/8 headers and high flow cats to my LS3 ss and it sounds awesome. Really loud. Id reco a tune after to maximize hp gains. Mine dyno'd just under 420 rwhp with headers, cai and tune.

I would recommend checking out Stainless Power 1 7/8. They are a very nice set of headers that won't break the bank. You will need a tune with LT headers if you do not want a check engine light.

If you are primarily interested in sound, just get Solo high flow cats. Way cheaper than headers, easy to install, no tune necessary, and they sound terrific. And as a bonus you will get a little performance boost as well.
Best bang-for-the-buck mod ever. |

Factory npp exhaust with 1 7/8 catless headers is still pretty quiet. If your looking for sound not performance then just get an axle back or cut outs. No need to tune for either of those either. For power headers are a must. I was unimpressed with the sound shortly after adding the headers to my npp though.

I have a combo of Solo hi-flow cats and midpipes (no resonators) and a GMPP Track Pack ("off road" bullet style mufflers) axle-back and it is quite loud and aggressive sounding without being too over the top. Highly recommend.
