315/30/18 Hoosier DOT DR?

Has anybody used these tires?

http://m.tirerack.com/tires/TireDeta...artnum=13R8DDR

I've seen one 5th gen (Sux) using them, resulting in a broke axle....

I have LTs/Exhaust/Intake/Tune on a L99 was wondering if anybody has successfully run these tires without breaking axles... College kid budget I'd prefer to avoid the broken axles if possible lol

Many of us L99 guys who like to race a lot have a bunch of passes on the stock axles and diff. I'm up around 150 - 170 passes.

You'll be fine. I broke my axle because I'm super aggressive and an M6. Auto guys' axles last a lot longer. Tires are CRAZY sticky. I would still be running them if I hadn't gotten a crazy good deal on my 17" Welds.

That is kind of what I thought! Thank you I will hopefully be getting some unless I find a better deal on something used

on a dry day (California weather basically)... would these tires be ok to drive to / from the track if the track was say... 20 miles away hwy miles?

referring to the same link: Hoosier D.O.T Drag Radials P315/30R18.

More curious as to from experience type responses, 'recommendations' all point to not suggested to... but i guess i'm hoping its just a they weren't tested for type response.
