So these tire sensors..

Tire sensors keep going out of whack? Just hit 30k miles, and I went in to put some air in the left rear tire.. Reset the psi readings, and bam! Tire sensor light goes on, tells me it needs maintainance, and gives me "--" as readings for all 4 tires..
Is this a GM problem? As the sensors have gone out on the trucks I've or my family have owned.. I do have aftermarket tires.. F14's 20x9 & 20x10.5 rear.

Mine.. 2010 ms ss .. spent 3 weeks for rear sensors at dealer for this and they replaces both back sensors and 5 miles later it's back. Shut off car and sometimes it's fine. Annoying as hell.

The tire sensors only have a 6 year battery life and being a 2010 your pretty much there. When we have one come into our dealer over 6 years old we go ahead and put all 4 in. They are a little pricey though.

You're not alone, I have been having this issue since I first bought my 2014. I just drive until they start reading again, it's annoying and I'll probably end up finding a way to tune it out.

When you put air in the tire you DIDN"T need to reset the sensors. This resets all the sensors, also unnecessary. Believe me, the sensor will read the new pressure, that is how it is designed. If you change tires that is a different story, there's no way around that. You'll get the alarm immediately if you change the tire. Just keep trying to reset the sensors they will settle down after a few attempts.

When you hit the reset button, you have to let air out of all four tires, starting with the front left, and moving clockwise around the car. You let air out until the car horn beeps, then move to the next one. Then your readings will be set. Only works with the 2010, I believe.

Aha sounds a bit like a if you hop on one foot and rub your belly, but I'll try it and update what happens.
