Did dyno runs today at OCD Customs in Brea
Hey guys. Had a very great experience today that I'd like to share with you.
I've been shopping for some bolt-ons, and came across OCD Customs in Brea. Their prices were competitive, and I am a firm believer in dealing with someone I can look in the eye and shake their hand when spending my money. Little did I know I'd end up bringing my car down and putting it on their dyno! Tim and Scott, the owners of OCD Customs, were VERY cool ... extremely knowledgable, easy to talk to and were eager to answer all my questions. We ran a baseline test, and then installed the Diablosport Predator that I purchased from them (results posted in the 'Tuning" section) and did some more pulls. Tomorrow I will be installing the K&N Aircharger, and my ehaust gets done on Tuesday. Then, next Saturday, I'll be back at OCD Customs to do some more dyno pulls with the exhaust & intake upgrades ... and then Scott is going to work his magic and tweak it some more. OCD Customs in Brea ... these are truly some cool guys, and I would HIGHLY recommend them ... |

OK ... installed the K&N Aircharger this morning and took a little run ...
HOLY CRAP! The sounds now eminating from under the hood are music to my ears! THIS is the way this car should have come from the factory! Tomorrow morning on the 22 we'll see how she runs at freeway speeds ... Tuesday comes the exhaust ... I cannot wait! Then back to OCD Customs on Saturday morning for some more dyno pulls and Scott to tweak her some more ... Stay tuned! |

Nice numbers,
The middle of the curve looks very strong with a 20 rwhp and 20 lbs of tq gain. Nice Mod and no more DOD |

So 20 rwhp gain just from the intake and tune?

we just finished another Camaro today
Corsa Exhaust, CAI intake we did a base line which is run 1 and then we started tuning using the diablo re-set fans, dod turned off, speed limiter raised, rev limiter rasied the peak numbers dont really tell the story on the street your really between 2500-4500 most of the time and thats were the tune is a huge difference 20lbs of torque and 17 rwhp is a very nice gain The car drives Awesome...I am sure the customer will post his butt dyno results here is the dyno graph |

Thanks so much to Tim and Scott for the patience they showed working on my Camaro today. They stayed until 6:30 PM at their shop to make sure we were able to achieve these numbers today over the course of 9 pulls.
As they mention, the baseline numbers were on a stock automatic with Corsa cat back and CAI Inc cold air intake. Although I'm really happy with the "butt dyno" result, I'm most happy with the disablement of the DOD. It's sooooo nice not to have that drone at low speeds or highway cruising. After all, you want your muscle car to sound like a muscle car, not an elephant fart. Greg, I can't wait to see your results. Scott noticed that the air intake temps were hot on the CAI intake, even though the hose is ceramic coated. I'm really curious to see how yours performs on the same dyno/setup. Good luck. OK, I'm jealous! But your numbers equate to almost 440hp at the crank, which would represent a 10% increase over "claimed" stock numbers ... which is exactly what I am shooting for ... I look forward to Saturday's session!
My K&N Aircharger has the plastic intake tube, so it will definitely be interesting to see the difference in the numbers ... I'll post on Saturday afternoon/evening .... if Scott and Tim don't beat me to it ... |

PS .... my exhaust is done .... and I'm ready to rock & roll!
Throaty, but mellow ... and NO DRONE! Not going to scare any kids or anything, but it'll do. But I'm spoiled for life since I drove in Scott's Challenger ... that thing is SICK! |
