Of course, the flip side of that is the money you save with the manual. It has to come out at least even. It's cheaper to buy, cheaper to maintain (other than clutch replacements), and saves gas for most drivers. Will the Camaro clutch be an easy DIY job, relative to common FWD cars? It's my understanding, though I have no experience, that in older RWD cars it was very easy to replace the clutch.

older cars it was easier, recent f-bodies have had troubles with getting all the air out of the slave cyl when replacing the clutch, or burning the fluid itself. the actual change out wasnt hard, it was all the little isht that added up to it.
