Should the V6 auto get a LSD?

But now with how complicated and advanced as automatics are getting, they are becoming more costly to repair (if they do happen to break on you) and now more so I've just seen that instead of repairing a tranny the auto trans just gets replaced and that can cost 2-3k alone for the whole transmission.

I suspect that most automatics go to the junkyard having never had a major problem. Most manuals do have at least one clutch replacement. Labor is more expensive than ever, and more of it is necessary than ever before, too.

Of course, the flip side of that is the money you save with the manual. It has to come out at least even. It's cheaper to buy, cheaper to maintain (other than clutch replacements), and saves gas for most drivers.

Will the Camaro clutch be an easy DIY job, relative to common FWD cars? It's my understanding, though I have no experience, that in older RWD cars it was very easy to replace the clutch.

older cars it was easier, recent f-bodies have had troubles with getting all the air out of the slave cyl when replacing the clutch, or burning the fluid itself. the actual change out wasnt hard, it was all the little isht that added up to it.
