Well, I'm hooked. I ordered the parts last week (for both the diffuser and side rocker panels), and they should be here soon.
Has anyone else done this Mod and wish to discuss their experience? I’m still on the fence on whether or no tot cut off the mounting tabs and drill slits on my fenders.
Also, my plan is to paint all of it body color as I figured the black would contrast against all my accents being cyber grey. Prepping the parts for Painting should be interesting, so I’m open for peoples comments there as well.

Well, I'm very happy with how this is turning out. Still need to install the exhaust sheilds, and come up with twin tips to retrofit on my SLP exhaust.

I just settled on a muffler, and I want the ZL1 diffuser, just trying to decide on tip size. The two best quad tip setups Ive seen are 3.75" (ZL1 diffuser, in this thread) and TaylorRyan's 4" (Ofer's diffuser).

I like Taylorryan's more, but dont know if 4inch will fit in the ZL1 diffuser with heat shields, does anyone know?

for you folks that have done this, did you have any issue getting the rear quarter to line up into the wheel well holes with the splash guards in?

i am having a heck of a time getting the fender back into its base position with the splash guards. it seems like something is in contact with the absorber and it cannot line up.

figured it out. there is a tab from the fender behind the tab from the splash guard that wasn't going in front of the tab from the absorber.

not the funnest install, but looks good. especially if you have wider wheels than stock.

for questions about the parts, the first page is complete and then you need 4 pop rivets and 6 sets of #8 screw and quick nuts.

I'll have to measure and get back to you. The sheilds are being painted along with some more work on the difusser. My current SLP tips are 4 inches, and I'm doubtful that a pair would fit with the sheilds. I should have some measurements soon. What Where did TaylorRyan get is?
For me I have 3 inch inlets, and idealy need tips that support that.

Taylor ryan got his off ebay, but Im getting mine from here: http://tips.byethost4.com/dualpair.html

Also, 4" can fit with the ZL1 diffuser, Ofer sent me a pic of a guy with 4", and there looks to be enough room for the shields, I think I coult fit a finger all the way around.

I'm surprised no one has asked who is going to make a real carbon fiber set of heat shields yet??? I'll ask then.

CF has amazing heat dissipating properties (many motorcycle mufflers and exhaust heat shields are made from it to prevent people from burning their legs), it would be perfect for this application, plus it looks awesome!

So my rockers and my diffuser came in but I'm a little confused. On everyone's pictures of the zl1 parts they look to be faded. Is this only in the picture or in the sunlight? Mine are pretty much satin black. I'm wondering bc I want to kno if I need to get them painted black if they will fade in the sun
