I dont think it has alot to do with the refresh. To me its more like how many more mustangs are there on dealer lots as opposed to camaros. Mustangs pose better incentives off the lot.

Some of you are interpreting facts to support your own conclusions.

The cold hard truth is Camaro is an old car. The overall design is now 8 years old and 2014 will mark 5 years in production. Most of the folks who really wanted one already own one.

Don't expect sales to pick up any time soon. And Mustang's launch will dampen them even more.

6th gen can't come soon enough.

The SN197 was on dealer lots in late 2004....

Ford is just doing a good job selling cars and trucks.

Ford always had better incentives , Just like the challengers. But the challengers are still not selling like the other two.

And this year will mark 10 years that the S197 has been in production. It's hard to say the Camaro isn't doing well because it's been in production for 5 years, when the Mustang is pretty much the same design wise as in 2004 and is still selling well.

Not true! Look at how many ppl wanted a 2013 camaro 1LE to order. But couldn't and had to get a 14 or get what's left or get a mustang. The numbers speak for itself. I think the 14 1LE's āre nice but that's it. You cannot tell me that the camaro slump in sales is do to it being old because the camaro was leading almost every month. Until around the time. 14's starting being on the lot and you couldn't order a pre refresh camaro.

You guy are just putting your own ideas into these figures. If you look across the entire graph, the biggest valleys for the camaro are in the nov, dec, jan area. Every year. So no, I wouldn't blame the refresh at all. I wouldn't have mine if it weren't for the refresh.

I know some of you prefer the non Retro over the Retro looking 10-13 camaro's . That's fine because they're both camaro's. I'm happy that I didn't wait for a 14 because I wouldn't have bought it. So we're both good

Ok we will see what happens in jan, February and March! Maybe a spike in March when the 1le,zl1 are released again and z28 and the spring edition.

Why the recent re-fresh was bad idea...

If you notice the Camaro has been getting outsold to the Mustang again the last few months and this is with an old model too. I think that the rear end of the re-fresher Camaro is the problem.
1. Too much plastic underneath the lights and it lost its sharp lines for a rounded rear.
2. Let's be honest the back tail lights are hideous. Yeah the new lights look pretty good on the Z/28 but the other models not so much as they are some what different. The earlier 2010-2013 lights were just much better.

Hopefully the 6th gen will go back to and keep the awesome tail lights again the new ones are a bore. Yeah I get it's kind of similar to the first gen but it just doesn't flow with this car as well.

That's because you have to pay people to buy crap.

It's like the Coke and Pepsi deal. Go to the store, Pepsi is always cheaper. It's how they built their brand, giving twice as much for the price waaaayyy back in the day.

Is it the Camaro refresh that's hurting sales or is it the 6th gen Mustang increasing Mustang sales? I like the 5th gen stang better than the 6th myself. If I were in the market for a Mustang I would get one now before the 5th gens go away and the new 6th gen is out.
