On my supercharger tune at the time a well known speed shop said only roto fab. I ended up removing my new aftermarket CAI

6 of one 1/2 dozen of another. However, I have a Roto-fab on my Camaro and I had one on my G8 and I’d buy another one again tomorrow if I needed to. Their customer support is top notch and their quality is as good if not better than OEM.

Vararam DRX gets my vote, 3 tenths or 3 mph better performance or your money back, some folks like the cone look better.....

No real discernible butt-dyno benefit unless you go long tubes as well. Gotta get them fumes out as quick as you git 'em in. I had CAI but had to go Roto-fab when the blower went in. Looks nicer but underbonnet air probably now warmer than with a "cased" CAI kit. Just my $0.02 worth.

Can you only get the Z/28 intake from Chevy or do vendors sell it?

I'm 99.9% sure it's a Chevy only thing.

I got mine from Chevy, but Summit & Jegs did have the Z/28 CAI listed. Not sure if they still do. Nice thing about the Z CAI, it comes with a new MAF calibrated for the airflow & larger tube. Just don't forget to pull out the red plug before install.

Cold Air inductions or Roto Fab CAI??

I recommend the Vararam intake (tune version) for performance. Had a K&N air intake awhile ago For a couple years as one of my first mods, but then decided to get the vararam and I made a few more hp and a lot more torque to the wheels over the K&N. It’s not the best looking intake. But sure performs very well. It just sucks having to clean it haha

I have been eyeing intakes and I am leaning towards the VARARAM too. Yes, I live in California... I know, I know. Ebay.
