M-B, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, Bentley, just crazy expensive bling everywhere you look! The OP lives a completely different lifestyle than most of us and good for him. A new Corvette Stingray is "nothing" in Scottsdale. Other than asking for first hand experience from people who have driven/owned all three Camaro SS, Camaro ZL1 and C7 as daily drivers, I don't know what any of us can say other than - lucky bastard !
I indeed mean Camaro SS, and yes, here in Scottsdale these cars are nothing. My mom owns cars that I dream of driving and everywhere you turn here in Scottsdale you see Ferrari's, Lambo's, Bentleys, Bugatti's, I've even seen one orange Mclaren P1 around here, it's beautiful. I guess people who haven't been to Scottsdale don't realize that :P

I really want the ZL1, but being practical I might just go with the Camaro SS, even though I want the ZL1 extremely bad, I'm just torn.

Not sure why you can't decide on your own what car to buy! I can not fathom asking anyone what car I should get. Not now, not when I was 16, not ever. You opened this can of worms. Did you really see it going any other way?

So, as of right now I have a 2014 2LS that I got some months ago. I'm got the means financially to upgrade to either one of the cars listed in the title but I'm torn.

just because you can afford the ZL1 doesn't mean you have to buy it.
will it be a great temptation to speed?
YES.
will your insurance rate be higher?
YES.
will your insurance rate go even higher after speeding tickets?
ABSOLUTELY!
perhaps the SS is just enough for now.
when you turn 25, the insurance rate goes down dramatically.
THINK.

If I had the money and ability to afford the insurance on a Stingray it would have been that for sure. As much as I love Mopars and my 392 Scat Pack and I had a choice between the 2, it'd be the Stingray all day long. It's a great straight line performance car and a great track car. It excels at everything. Plus the new 8 speed in that thing. A base C7 can run 11.5x in the 1/4 with a 1.70 60ft. Crazy!

This car WILL be my daily driver, so I need some opinions on what to go with. I was going to wait until the 16's come out to see the SS and ZL1 and see if I want to upgrade to one of those, I haven't done much research on the Stingray but I LOVE the look, I love the car. One downside, I don't know how to drive stick, don't make fun of me xD

Anyways, what would you guys go with? It'll be a daily driver and I'm 19, single with no kids, lol. All opinions and suggestions I would love to hear, I'm just torn.
The Vette is definitely one of the most comfy cars to drive in my opinion (hint why old people love em) if I were you I'd get a C6 ZO6, you wouldnt lose your A$$ on it...

If you're that comfy Id get the vette or ZL1. My dd and only car for a few years has been my tahoe and I wanted one so bad when I got it that the gas prices or practicality was offset by my personal happiness. Just my $.02

Good advice except the Z already runs with the stingray at stock level.. they are almost a dead nuts match.

OP....Stingray is awesome but so is the Z ...Z is the obvious better DD ...so in your situation go Z...
With that said I love my current Z and will have it for a long while but if I ever do get something new the Stingray will be at the top of my picks..

To the OP, I'd say get in that Stingray. It's in a whole other class compared to the Camaro.

Have you discussed this with your gf? Since you guys live together I dont think she would appreciate seeing an expensive car in the driveway without being onboard about it (made that mistake)

All im saying is clear it up with her before you jet back to the dealership and spend her xmas present money on another vehicle
