Don't even get me started on the worthlessness of the article you linked. Based on the information given the thing could have been titled Z06 spied with 800 horsepower motor and it'd be equally as credible.

Wasn't it your Mustang chief engineer Mr. Paracek that said the new mustang was targeting Porsches so yeah I think this comparison is very viable and in the end the Corvette will win undoubtedly. Camaro is going to stun everyone again when the new one is out too. GM is the best in the business when it comes to performance when it comes to a 2 plus 2 pony car, a rear wheel sports sedan, and a high performance sports car well Chevrolet has them all. And for most that would be enough but this is Chevrolet and they have some cars very very special coming in the next 2 years.

The Mustang probably will give several Porsches a run for their money, considering most of them are overrated. I don't think the upcoming GT350 will have any trouble with the base 911.

Seeing as how the base Corvette is superior to a 911, the Z06 and ZR1 models will be out of the Mustang's reach.

I've never expected the Mustang to outperform a true sports car at it's price range, but if it can that's certainly a nice bonus.

And remember this is payback for Ford trying to steal the ZL1's thunder then unveiling that new GT500. Now the tables are turned Ford unveils their new Ford Fusion version of the Mustang and here comes that high performance Z06 stealing the headlines

I can relate, as an owner of both a Mustang and a C7... knowing first-hand the features and performance between the two, I'd sacrifice my Boss 302 to have the new Stingray if I had no choice but to have only one. Thanks to the Lord that good thing I don't but you catch my drift...

But all I will say here is that the current Corvette is absolutely amazing, and this Z06 is going to be NASTY....utter domination.

I also think it is going to look amazing....I predict some very aggressive hood and front end changes and I can dig that.

The title of the article should read, "2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Spied" then their speculation on power should be in the article. How misleading. I am pretty excited about this car though as I have grown ever bored of the interior in my 'vette and the C7 has made great strides in that department.

Since when has magazine speculation become "factual" information? Im very sad to see the zo6 go boosted and it also makes me think that maybe we won't have a zr1 and gm is trying to combine both models into one. I really hope the zr1 comes back as a dohc TT setup but that will never happen. As for the comparo between vettes and stangs its really not to far off since it is fords top car against chevys even though there not in the same class but it gives the stang guys something to aim for since they already beat the camaro in the one thing they cherish most "drag racing".
