Paxton and Vortech are the same company.
Give ECS or Matt@FSP a PM or call and talk to them about what is best for you |

ECS kit. Vortech or Paxton. Read my sig. Ted can tune the ECS setup just fine. Get the ZL1 pump, the ADM FPCM and the ID850 injectors. You will be glad you did.

Where the air filter is doesn't matter nearly as much as the intercooler and efficency of the system. Running a pipe to pick up cooler air cost more power because of the bends/restriction. If you want to make less power you could buy a vortech inlet tube but most people are ditching them and just running the filter off the blower like ECS.
As Blake said, paxton and vortech are the same company. Paxton uses billet cases and vortech cast. No different in performance, just bling looks really. Either way, the SLP pulley, intake and tune will have to be swapped out.

Si trim is a 1200
T trim is a 1500 JT trim is a 2200 YSi is a 2200R Same wheels, same internals. Now the ECS kit makes more power from the better intercooler, piping, pulley setup, etc. As far the blower, a Paxton 1500SL is the same exact blower internally as a Vortech T trim so power output is the same.

Im not sure where you got that info but u need to do a little more research. ECS is one of the most popular and reputable supercharger companies in the vette and 5th gen camaro world.

My car is down at them right now getting a blower swap and a head swap. They are the only ones who have touched my car when it comes to engine work. The only time I haven't was when I did a clutch upgrade. It wasn't worth the time to bring the car an hour and a half away for something that my local transmission shop can do. You're about 30 miles away from me, feel free to ask any questions. I can even give you directions from where you're at.

I love my ECS setup and have not had a single problem. NO belt slip whatsoever with their tensioner setup. Most other out of the box kits need relocated and new/better tensioners even on the standard pulley, let alone if you swap down to a smaller pulley.

That being said, look into all the options. Procharger makes a nice kit too, AGP makes a awesome twin turbo kit, Whipples are ok. No reason to limit yourself to paxton/vortech.
