Railcar question

If I can't get railcar number from my salesman, is there somewhere else I might glean this information? Not important I realize, but curious. Thanks,
Troy Lawson

Have you tried calling the GM customer service line? No idea what the US version is like but in Canada it's the only life line we have to get status updates on order movement. They put you on hold and request the information from a third party, might be able to get the railcar too. Worth a shot!

Lawman, I called GM customer assistance at 1-866-790-5700, and the guy I talked to was able to give me the rail car number and the current status. You might want to try that, it worked well for me.

I dunno, Wendy. The guy I talked to didn't give me a hard time at all, just gave me the information I was looking for. I'm sorry to hear that they weren't as helpful for you. Maybe see if Larry over at GMconnects.com forums can do anything for you, if your dealer isn't willing to get you the information.

I think they wont give it to you because your name is not on the billing info.. your Dealer can call GM Dealer Business Center and get it for you. I dont know why some dealers say they cant mine did it for me and took 5 min

Dealer can get that info. Rail car number and Rail company tracking phone number. I actually got info on mine from a insider at GM. I was able to call several times a day and track where my car was at. I knew when it got to it's final destination and my dealer made arangements to pick it up rather than wait on a truck to deliver it. I had to fly home from a job out of state to take delivery. It all worked out great.
