Who's got a L99 with a TVS 2300 on top
Im curious how many are out there. What type you have, and did you keep the L99 stock lifters.
Please no details from the LS3 guys. Id just like to hear from the L99 guys. Ive recalibrated several SLP top mounts, disable AFM made the 6l80 more fun as I optimized the L99, but im curious about if guys just mounted up the manifold and go, or if they either had issues with the L99 lifters or just replaced them Phil |

I ran a tvs2300 with AFM stock lifters for 25000 miles with a mti stage 1 cam with no issues. Obviously there are limitations but the motor made 533 WHP and was a lot of fun.

I remember some valley plate issues on the L99 early on with the SLP direct drive TVS but that's it.

Phil, I ran a magnuson 2300 with stock internals for two years. Did 150+ passes with 6700 rpm shift points. No issues whatsoever. When I cammed, I obviously did the LS3 conversion.

Not a Maggie but the AGP shop car ran stock lifters, stock cam, bone stock long block and made 680rwhp for 15k miles. I think it is RPM that kills the lifters, not power per say.

Installed a TVS 2300, on an L99. No other work on the motor, no issues so far. A little over 500 rwhp & tq.

We do a lot of maggie installs here and have not run into any issues with the AFM lifters. The stock cam in the L99 is pretty easy on them despite the extra hp from the blower. Here's the most recent one - 2013 L99. My customers are not easy on their cars either
