BTR cam is not the best with an eforce.. jannety knows his stuff..

So I have had several talks w Ted in the past..told him about my setup.. Rolsxtofab, BTR Stage 3, and kooks no cats.. I was having a few idle issues and also looking for more power. I have never ever purchased anything from them but, Ted was always willing to help.

He said right off the bat the btr cam is a good cam but not that great on a eforce..

So I sold all my stuff to a local guy and mentioned the cam change. The best I could do on 93 was 617 at the wheels on the same dyno that he used.. he just pulled out 655 and 645 torque in 60 degree weather.. It was 35 degrees when I dynoed mine. That's close to 40 rwhp more.. thats awesome!

This is with a stock crank pulley and 3.25 pulley..

For a crappy eforce (as people say) there's still a 2.75 and ati 10% overdrive available.

FYI I went to an AGP kit. That same shop is still putting mine together they finished the car that I sold my part to first..

Ted when my 2016 comes back from the test fit at Borla.. your getting all my 6th gen business!

Well if your BTR cam was an N/A spec cam obviously it's not going to be ideal on a boosted application

Don't worry your secret is safe with me, but I don't know those blower cars you keep picking on at the track may spill the beans so you will leave them alone

I think we should have a standard emoticon here that says "I love Jannetty"

Think of how much time that would save the sheep having to type the words "Jannetty" or even "JRE"?!

And I'm just joking. Kind of. You can't go wrong with Jannetty. Great shop and great crew. But they do like to maximize profits. And who's to blame them. But the trashing of other great products (like BTR cams) is just wrong.

So you are saying your car made 617 then you sold your parts to someone else who fitted them to a different car/engine made more HP 655hp out of it and you claim it's because of the camshaft?

It's another engine.....likely a different tune, more timing being put into etc

You do know there are a million cams out there correct? Saying one is junk because it doesn't make the power you wanted is well........stupid. I'm going to make the assumption you didn't buy a camshaft that is designed for a supercharger but rather went by hear say and thought "everyone keeps saying but stage 3 I'll just buy the one that says stage three". Did you even call Brian to ask about the cam and what he reccomended? My point is this Brian is a very well respected member of the performance community there's a reason so many people have his parts on their car so before you go bashing someone's product maybe you should educate yourself on the differences in cam specs especially since you didn't communicate with the cams designer to make sure it works with your setup.

Saying you have a BTR stage 3 means nothing. He has a bunch of lines of cams with stages, was it a N/A stage 3 or blower stage 3?

BTR cams are not junk you just probably had the wrong camshaft got you setup, that's on you

Same tuner, same dyno, and it is a BTR stage 3 PD cam..

Read title guys Crap w eforce!

It works well with other blowers!

I read up on cam choices 3 years ago and went with advice from forum posters out of these suggestions. .

TSP
Lingenfelter GT9
And BTR PD stage 3

I contacted a lot of shops and told them my setup.. most were like you need to ditch the eforce first of all if ya want to make real power.. I was like I'm kinda stuck with and don't want to sell it for half the cost of what I paid.. JRE was the only shop to say I needed to change cams all other shops said that cam is good..

I'm just sayn this guy's knows his stuff and must of did a lot, build and research..

I all the other shops mentioned pulley swaps, meth, e85.. which are good things to.

I guess the title was a little over top.. but it's a fact..

Same tuner
Same dyno
Same blower he bought mine
Same pulleys he bought mine
Same headers he bought mine
Same injectors he bought mine
Same pump bought mine
I even gave him my balance so he didn't have to drill his

Different cam only

That's interesting, not really sure why it matters what blower is sitting on top forcing air into the engine with that cam but i guess it does. What are the specs of the second cam it made more power with?
