Throwing a tune on the PCM without nuking the warranty
I would like to throw a tune on the car, maybe a ecotune for daily driving, and a hot tune for When I'm at the track.
However I know a tune will kill the warranty even if I reverted back to stop because they can see the last 10 writes on the PCM when you take it to the dealer. If I were to buy a second PCM and keep the factory one put away unless I was going to the dealer do you think I could scrape by like that? |

You would have the issue of data not matching up. For example, say you go get a PCM programed by a dealer, or anybody who has that ability, you need to input the milage. That number must match all the other BCMs that are in the car where that number is also stored on.
If you go plugging in a new PCM without updating the milage then you will run into a problem.
