AND because it's forced induction it takes premium fuel... higher compression ratio requires higher octane (resistance to detonation). So; expect to spend more in both volume and type of gas if you 'charge your vehicle. It still only ends up being an extra $3-$4 per tank to have premium, I just have a shorter range on a tank than a lot of other people out there.
MY mpgs went from 20 hwy too 22.7 hwy.
Yes i can make it get 15mpg if i want. (MAybe 10??)
BUT in cruise it went UP 2.7 mpg.

Truth!
I drive like a grandma and my mileage doesn't get any better...

However, I can probably attribute some of that to the times I let my boyfriend drive; I know he's not careful... because he wants to have fun.

go on a long trip and compare...
I believe it's some...higher quality injectors, better tune and over all better setup that has given it the slight improvement.

supercharging an engine, whether it be by turbo or by blower, can make it exceptionally efficient... with advanced EFI systems, you can calibrate how much (or little) fuel is delivered at a wide variety of RPM ranges... and can make an engine so accurate that, with the right gearing, you can deliver superior mileage and performance... its all in how you tune the car and how you use your right foot.

please read the thread. two members have shared their personal experiences with superchargers. Others have made more general statements relating to this.

Aye... I still have my "Injection is nice... but I'd rather be blown" license plate frame, although I took it off (i.e forceably removed by wife) shortly after my daughter was born.

Ever since seeing the STS install on a C6 on HorsepowerTV...I've been hooked.

Don't know why...but for some reason I want to turbocharge and LS3....

Here's a nice video of a STS C6 up against a C6 ZO6....turbo is on the right....

Here's a good article on the vette install....

Honestly i'm not trying to be an A-hole, but that makes me pissed, he is going to drive like an dangerously just so he can have fun? If he wants to have fun tell him to do it safely, I care about my and other's safety. Sorry if i sound like a jerk but seriously, thats just selfish and ignorant.
