(B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; and
(3) he reasonably believes that:
(A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or
(B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

That's one of the main reasons I left Houston... after Katrina happened, and Houston opened its doors to those affected, the crime rate in my neighborhood instantly went through the roof: Vandalism, theft, violent crime, you name it. Within months (because nobody given a free place to live was gonna leave), the 'hood started showing a very visible decline in appearance. I stuck it out another few months, then got the hell outta there.

Why try to steal a vehicle with On Star. Even if you dont have a subscription cant they use it to track the vehicle? And i dont think you can disarm the unit without first getting into the car and popping the hood lol. Sorry OP glad they didnt do more damage.

I hated ever staying the night in Atlanta, hate the city over all, Ya I live in GA but out in the stix, 14 acres of land, neighbors always watching out for me and me them, my dogs are always on alert (nothing gets past them) but even then if they get past all that I always have my buddies Ruger and Mossberg
I might have to drive my Camaro down a long dirt road but in the end it is all worth it to me, heck I leave my car unlocked all the time here

where i live stealing a car is unheard of. i know quite a few people that always leave there doors unlocked and the key in the ignition. i dont leave my key in the ignition but i do leave my doors unlocked all the time. its sad that people would steal from someone. if i caught someone trying to steal my car i would most defiantly shoot at them.

You need to get a camera or tracker installed in your car. And buy that lady a box of chocolate because she saved you a theft and she saved your car from more drama
