Vinyl over plasti-dip or layered vinyl?
Moderator, please move if there is a more appropriate location.
I'm getting my bowties custom painted in the spring, but I need to test drive the design before I commit it to paint. I tried a Google search but couldn't find anything useful. What I want to know is would it be better to dip the bowties then overlay the design in vinyl or would a dual layer of vinyl work better? I want something semi-removable so I can change it if it doesn't look the way hope. Will vinyl even stick to plasti-dip and does vinyl stick to itself? I'm open to alternatives or useful suggestions. |

Just hit it with one layer of vinyl. Front bow tie is kind of a PITA unless you split it down the middle, vertically. Mine has lasted for many months and through many bug splatters with no damage. Costs pennies as I bought a small sheet and cut it to size.

Which is exactly why I don't want to do that. Besides I don't want just a plain single color one. I want something a little different.
